This film is a love letter to live theatre and the ephemeral nature of its poetry and power. Filmed during Kevin Spacey and Sam Mendes' Bridge Project world tour of Shakespeare's Richard III, this is an in depth and intimate journey into the life of a globetrotting theatre company. We are in the wings and on the road with this blockbuster theatre production, as they perform to 15,000 people under the stars at Greece's ancient Epidaurus theatre. Visiting Beijing, Naples, San Francisco, the deserts of Qatar, Sydney, Istanbul, London and New York over the course of a year with a company led by one of the most mercurial and masterful actors of his generation, double academy award winner, Kevin Spacey.
This feature doc premiered at Tribecca Film Festival in 2014, was released theatrically in the US, Canada, UK and Australia, later on Netflix.
In 2015 'Now' received the UK's National Film Award for Best Documentary.
